About the event

Celebrate 10 years since the re-introduction of wood whites at Monkwood on a guided walk with Rhona Goddard.

Rhona was involved with the project from the beginning and helped to translocate the original butterflies to Monkwood. Originally working for our partners, Butterfly Conservation, on the project, Rhona now works for the Trust and will be joined by the Trust’s butterfly enthusiast, Ion Riley, for the walk.

Wood white numbers at Monkwood have gone from strength-to-strength, with 2025 having record counts of these delicate butterflies.
