Birdwatching for kids
Wychbold, Worcestershire, B61 7ER (Flashes) B61 7ET (Moors)
About the event
Upton Warren is one of the best places to see birds in the West Midlands. Join us to discover who's returned and what's going on.
Take a walk around The Flashes at Upton Warren Wetland Reserve, seeing what you can spot along the way. Once at the furthest hide we’ll spend some time looking at the birds through binoculars and telescopes helping children to identify what we see and mark it off their spotter sheets. There will also be a simple game to help them learn more about our feathery friends.
Children’s binoculars will be provided but feel free to bring your own if you have them. The walk to the hide will take about 20 minutes and is mainly along a wooden gangway. Please make sure you come dressed for the weather as we will be outside for some time during the event. You can park at Aztec Water Sports and we will meet by the gate near the cafe, alternatively you can park at Webbs Garden Centre and cross over. Please arrive on time as we will need to set off not long after the start time.
Please note: This event has been postponed until further notice. We will be reviewing all our events on a regular basis so please check back regularly to see when our events will start running again.
