Wilder Worcestershire - podcast episode 2

Heart of Worcestershire College garden by Julie Grainger

Take a stroll through Worcester to a garden created by students at the Heart of Worcestershire College...

In 2024 Worcestershire Wildlife Trust was awarded funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to collaborate with and support communities to connect with and to help wildlife along the corridors of the rivers Severn and Salwarpe, from Droitwich Spa to Kempsey.

Whether allotments, neglected green spaces or areas around faith or other community buildings, the Wilder Worcestershire team helps groups to learn more about managing greenspaces for nature and people, finding volunteers and other groups to connect with as well as discovering more about the amazing natural world.

In our latest podcast episode, Lee takes a stroll through Worcester, connecting the greenspaces for people and wildlife before reaching the Heart of Worcestershire College where students have been doing great things for wildlife in their urban garden. Listen to the end for top tips on helping wildlife at home by hearing more about what Lee's doing in his own patch of Worcester to help nature thrive.

You can catch up with Wilder Worcestershire's progress as well as other community groups in the county in our wilder communities blogs.
