Bull Meadow is a community greenspace in Fernhill Heath that's owned by North Claines Parish Council. In 2021 members of the Parish Council approached the Trust with the aim of transforming this newly acquired land into a space for the community and a haven for nature.
The Natural Networks team, a partnership between the Trust and Worcestershire County Council, helped to fund an array of features - from a wetland to an orchard - and over the next couple of years the site was a hive of activity.
Not to be outdone, the Trust's Wilder Worcestershire: Neighbourhoods Nurturing Nature team got involved in 2024 and helped to support the community, including Hindlip Primary School and a nearby Scout group, to ensure even more work took place to help both people and wildlife.
Our volunteer podcast host, Lee, meets up with our Natural Networks colleague Finley, North Claines Parish Councillor Megan and Scout Freddie to find out more.
