A fabulous small ancient woodland
A remnant of limestone grassland which is great for flowers, butterflies and other insects.
Primarily a wetland site, this is the biggest single conservation project the Trust has attempted.
Also known as Hanbury Woods, this relict wood pasture reserve contains some of the oldest trees in the county.
Our aim is to restore these wonderful wetlands to grazing marshes, providing habitat and wintering grounds for several birds.
Our volunteer nature reserve engagement wardens will act as our eyes on the ground. They walk one of our chosen nature reserves regularly to help us better connect with and understand visitors.…
