Families are being invited to get crafty this Christmas with a local charity.

Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is running a festive natural crafts session at their headquarters between Worcester and Droitwich Spa. Amongst other activities, children will get to make a natural wreath and take it home with them.

Hannah Thomas, engagement officer for the Trust, explained “This season we’re challenging families to get creative with nature’s treasures.

“We’ll take our families on a festive walk around the farm to see what we can find for a truly homemade Christmas.

“It’s a great opportunity to break up the long week in the run up to Christmas, to get outside, explore and go wild with fun!”

The fun takes place on Wednesday 21st December between 2pm and 4pm. Booking is essential on 07743 989187 or 01905 754919 and the session costs just £3.50 per child.

Lower Smite Farm is home to a purpose-built education centre converted from the old barn and stables from the original farm. As well as a wildlife garden, a mile-long trail allows visitors to explore parts of the wider farm including an orchard and two ponds.

Lower Smite Farm is signposted from the A4538 between Martin Hussingtree and the Sixways roundabout.
