Day trip with Malvern local group returning mid-evening.

Following our successful trip in July to the Pine Marten Recovery Programme, we shall have a guided walk with Josie (the PMRP manager) around the privately owned wood that now houses the Pine Marten hide, as well as spending time in the hide itself. Prior to that, we plan to visit Stanner Rocks, an unusual outcrop of volcanic rocks where rare plants grow. It is the only site in Britain where the Radnor Lily can be found – and could (should!) be in flower. If conditions and time allow, we also plan to visit Rhos Goch, one of the largest bogs in Wales and where winter visitors include Curlew, Lapwing and Snipe.

Suggestion: voluntary donation on the day to the PMRP.

The trip is also running on 6 February.
