Staff from a veterinarian practice in Bromsgrove have pledged their support to wildlife throughout 2018.

Clent Hills Vets have chosen Worcestershire Wildlife Trust as their Charity of the Year for 2018. As well as joining the county-based charity as a corporate member, staff will also be helping to raise funds for wildlife as well as getting mucky on practical conservation sessions.

Mike Perry, Head of Resources for Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, explained “We’re absolutely thrilled that Clent Hills Vets have chosen to support us this year.

“It’s fantastic that all their staff are keen to do what they can to help wildlife in Worcestershire - from organising fundraising activities to coming out and helping our volunteers, everyone will be taking individual action.”

Supporting local wildlife

This year staff voted for which local charity to support and Worcestershire Wildlife Trust came out on top.

In addition, Clent Hills’ staff have been awarded an extra day off to promote wellbeing and team working and will be undertaking a variety of volunteering work.

Three members of staff have already joined one of the Trust’s volunteer groups when they visited Penorchard Meadows, near Hagley, for the day.  Amy Holloway, Rebekka Fiorani and Helen Beesley helped the regular volunteer group to remove encroaching scrub from the wildflower meadows in early April.

Amy Holloway, marketing manager at Clent Hills Vets said “We’re really excited to be supporting Worcestershire Wildlife Trust this year and finding out how we as a business, as well individuals, can make a difference.

“Spending the day at Penorchard Meadows out in the fresh air and mucking in with other volunteers was a fantastic experience, very different from a day in the practice but really worthwhile. We’re sure the rest of our team will enjoy getting involved as much as we did.”
