Half-term fun

5th February, 2010

Families can delve into the magical world of woodlands at an event with the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust on Wednesday 17th February.

Children will discover more about the folklore of woodlands at ‘The Magic of Nature’ event. They’ll also have the opportunity to make a magic wand and create mini woodland settlements.

Debs Bull, Education Officer for Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, explained “The event is all about enjoying being outdoors and discovering things for yourself. There will be team challenges for the participants which will also help children to learn how to work together.

“We’ll be solving puzzles, learning about the mythology of woodland people and finding out more about the magic of nature.”

The event is the first this year in a series of Wildwatcher events that take place through the school holidays. They attract families of all ages and the activities ensure they have a great time learning about nature and the wildlife they see regularly.

The event takes place on Wednesday 17th February between 2pm and 4pm and costs £3 per child. Booking is essential on 01905 754919.
