Watch Leaders & Assistants Wanted

We are looking for enthusiastic, versatile, and dynamic people to set up and run new Wildlife Watch Clubs around the county.  We're also on the hunt for enthusiastic people to assist with the running of new clubs.

"As a Wildlife Watch leader you would be part of a UK wide network and your role is invaluable to the work of The Wildlife Trusts. By running a Watch group you will be inspiring young people to explore and enjoy the natural world and discover how to protect the natural environment by living more sustainably."  says Stephanie Hilborne, Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts.

We recently established a club at Lower Smite Farm and need extra help running it.  It takes place on the penultimate Wednesday of each month and full support will be given to any new leader or assistant.  We would also love to set up clubs in the south of the county around the Evesham area.

If you are interested in running Watch activities for young people contact Debs Bull, your county Watch co-ordinator, who can arrange for you to observe a watch group session, organise some activity training and complete the necessary CRB requirements.

A Watch group leader would need to:

Plan, resource and run 12 sessions a year, as part of a team.
Take responsibility for the young people during the clubs.
Undergo checks and training prior to running the clubs.
Liaise with the county Watch co-ordinator with respect to publicity etc.

If you'd like to contribute to this website email county Watch co-ordinator debs@worcestershirewildlifetrust.org and have your say.
