Day 29 - The sparrow hawk

Today we saw a sparrow hawk in our garden.

Today a sparrowhawk landed on our shed roof so it inspired me to do todays blog on them.

Sparrowhawk males are alot smaller than the females. During the spring the female is too big to hunt due to all of the trees. So the males do all of the hunting untill the leaves are of the tree. When the chicks become fledglings they use jay's to practise there hunting ability's
