Discover wildlife and go wild with Brownies!

Would you like to get your Brownie group out and exploring Worcestershire? We can help you discover wildlife at Lower Smite Farm and nature reserves around Worcestershire. We may even be able visit you where you meet and discover wildlife right on your doorstep.

For help completing your badges or just a fun visit out, we can get your group exploring and having fun. Contact Hannah (01905 754919) to discuss your requirements and to book your visit.

Environment – Take a look at water and energy use in the home and how to reduce it, introduce recycling and discover just how long it takes our household items to biodegrade. We can take a look at natural recycling and become an earthworm for a fun game, look at food miles and our wildlife vegetable garden.

Friends to Animals – Take a look at the colours and patterns of animals, explore camouflage with a game and use natural patterns for inspiration for environmental art.

Gardening – Take a look at garden tools and how to use them safely and help to tend our wildlife vegetable garden. Find out what seeds and plants need to grow before making your own sustainable plant pot and plant a seed to take home.

Seasons – Explore our nature reserves in any season, build a nest box for the group (for a small extra charge) and enjoy seasonal wildlife activities. Look for wildlflowers, buds and new leaves in spring; discover butterflies and bees in the summer with bug hunts and games; explore fruit in the autumn and use fallen natural objects to create a work of art; find out how to help wildlife through the winter and make a bird feeder for your garden.

Wildlife – Learn to identify birds, butterflies, mammals or most other creatures and make bird feeders to help wildlife in your garden. Take a closer look at trees and discover tree ID and environmental art. You could even discover The Knapp and Papermill and find out how clean our stream is through stream dipping.

A typical session last between 1 - 2 hours in which we can tailor the session to suit your group's time and requirements best.
